“Tiffany’s Waking Dream,” by David Frankland
Discworld 2010 Calendar December Image

The downside of catching the eye of Wintersmith is that he’ll make a giant iceberg shaped like you to get your attention and it will definitely kill people.  Well, y’know.  One of the downsides.  This art is so freakin’ pretty though.

headology101:

What do you need to make a man?

Iron enough to make a nail,
Lime enough to paint a wall,
Water enough to drown a dog,
Sulfur enough to stop the fleas,
Poison enough to kill a cow,
Potash enough to wash a shirt,
Gold enough to buy a bean,
Silver enough to coat a pin,
Lead enough to ballast a bird,
Phosphor enough to light the town,

Strength enough to build a home,
Time enough to hold a child,
Love enough to break a heart.

Chickens!

Jan 2018

pen and ink on bristol board

It’s a scene from Wintersmith by Terry Pratchett, in which Nanny Ogg’s house gets filled with chickens because You the cat asks the magic cornucopia to feed her chicken.

“The floor was covered with chickens. So were the stairs. So was every room down below. In the kitchen, chickens had overflowed into the sink” (Pratchett 272).

Some sketches of Terry Pratchett’s Monstrous Regiment. It’s become one of my favorite books of his, and I can’t help feeling that I’m not doing these characters justice.
EDIT: I just realized I left out a partially colored sketch of Maladict about to go full vampire 🙂
