Magrat Garlick’s Octeday Shawl. This shawl was a year in the making. I blended 100 grams of brown Shetland wool with 50 grams of Tussah silk on a blending board and dizzed the fiber off as roving. I then spun a 2 ply lace yarn and by the end of the plying was wondering why I started this project. I looked for a pattern and decided to combine two half pi shawls for the flower and plant motifs on the body, as Magrat believes in the powers of herbalism.
