Hello, Friends-in-Pratchett,

Hello, Friends-in-Pratchett,

Sept 11 is always a challenging day here in New York City. But Rob Wilkins reminds us that today is also the tenth anniversary of the publication of NATION, which was written in the midst of Terry’s PCA diagnosis. The novel was a bestseller on both sides of the Pond, and went on to win many awards–it was even adapted for the stage by the National Theatre, and live performances were beamed onto movie screens across the globe (it wasn’t a very satisfying adaptation, but still…).

Today is a day for remembering. But as Terry told us, “When much is taken, something is returned,” and I put those words on the cover of his book. If you haven’t read Nation yet, I sincerely hope you will. Thank you.
